  • On October 18th, Microsoft will be releasing Windows 8.1 which will be offered as a free update to the current Windows 8 users.  It will be available through Windows Store and new version will also be offered by OEMs preinstalled by manufacturer starting October 18th, 2013.
  • Mcrosoft has announced "End of Support" for Windows XP and Office 2003 as of April 8th, 2014 meaning customers will not receive any more updates and no product support will be provided for these products.
  • When you purchase any qualifying version of Office between 10/19/2012 and 04/30/2013, you can download the next version of Office free of charge, as soon as it's available.
  • "Buy a Windows 7 PC and get Windows 8 Pro for $14.99 Offer" registration site is now available. The support for Windows XP will officially cease on April 8th, 2014.
  • Effective January 2, 2012, Western Digital has revised warranty term for their hard drives (Blue and Green family lines) from 3 years to 2 years.  WD's Black product line remains at five year warranty.

  • Sony is recalling several of its VAIO F and C sereis notebooks because they are at risk of overheating.  Sony has announced that about 535,000 notebooks sold since January could be at risk for the problem, which is caused by an error in the internal temperature management system.  Please visit Sony eSupport website for more information.
  • Microsoft has announced that support for Windows XP SP2 will end on July 13, 2010.
  • Microsoft has announced a new Microsoft Office 2010 Technology Guarantee Program .  This program will allow those customers who purchase qualifying Office 2007 product between March 5, 2010 and September 30, 2010 to download new Office 2010 version at no additional cost.  For more information, visit here.
  • Microsoft will end support for Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista on July 13th, 2010.

  • Microsoft will end support for Office 2000 which was launched in June, 1999.  After July 14th, 2009, no more security updates or support will be available for users of Office 2000 suite.
